RemObjects VB.NET compatible language was released last week, which is good news for those of us who want to use the language on previously unsupported platforms like iOS and ASP.NET Core. Visual Studio Magazine covered the release here.
Speaking of Visual Studio Magazine, take a look at the comments on that post. Why people choose to be jerks about someone else’s product announcement is beyond me. If you aren’t interested in Visual Basic, fine. If you think it won’t be successful because the price is too high, sure, that may be a possibility. But is the right place to proclaim that in the post announcing the product?
Certainly this option will not be for everyone, and I’m concerned that they won’t get enough interest in it at that particular price point. But only time will tell – maybe it will be successful and maybe it won’t. You can’t know for sure, and I don’t understand people who spend time raining on other people’s parades in the comments. Lame.
